Our returns policy is designed to be fair while protecting both our customers and our business.
Return Policy Overview
At GoFish (operated by Tubertini Malta), we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not entirely happy, we're here to help — subject to the conditions outlined below.
You have 14 calendar days from the date of delivery to request a return for eligible items. This is in accordance with Maltese and EU consumer protection regulations (Distance Selling Regulations).
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging with all tags, labels, and accessories intact.
Eligible for Return
The following items may be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they are in their original, unused condition:
- ✓Fishing rods — unused, unassembled, in original rod tube/packaging. If a rod arrives broken or defective, contact us immediately for a replacement or full refund.
- ✓Fishing reels — unused, in original box with all components (spool, handle, manual). Must not have been spooled with line.
- ✓Tackle boxes & storage — unused, in original packaging.
- ✓Clothing & apparel — unworn, unwashed, with tags still attached.
- ✓Electronic accessories — unopened, sealed in original packaging.
- ✓Defective/damaged items — if an item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos for a full refund or replacement regardless of other conditions.
Non-Returnable Items
Due to hygiene, safety, and practical reasons, the following items cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or defective:
- ✗Fishing line (monofilament, braided, fluorocarbon) — once the packaging seal is broken, line cannot be returned as it may have been spooled or compromised.
- ✗Hooks, swivels, and small terminal tackle — due to safety and the low unit value, these items are non-refundable once opened.
- ✗Bait (live, frozen, or artificial if opened) — perishable items and opened bait packaging cannot be accepted.
- ✗Items sold as clearance or final sale — products explicitly marked as non-returnable at the time of purchase.
- ✗Custom or personalised items — items that have been customised, engraved, or modified to your specification.
- ✗Items showing signs of use — any product that has been used, assembled (in the case of rods), or shows signs of wear, salt damage, or modification.
How to Return an Item
- 1Contact Us: Email us at gofishmalta@gmail.com or call +356 2790 0000 with your order number and reason for the return. Alternatively, submit a support ticket through your account.
- 2Wait for Confirmation: We will review your request and respond within 2 business days. If approved, we will provide instructions on how to return the item.
- 3Ship the Item: Pack the item securely in its original packaging and ship it to the address we provide. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item was received damaged or defective.
- 4Refund Processing: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund within 7–10 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Additional Terms
- •GoFish reserves the right to refuse a return if the conditions outlined above are not met.
- •Items returned without prior authorisation may be refused or returned to the sender at the customer's expense.
- •We reserve the right to deduct a restocking fee of up to 15% for items returned in less than perfect condition but still considered eligible.
- •Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the requested replacement is not available, a full refund will be issued.
- •GoFish is not liable for items lost or damaged during return shipping. We recommend using a tracked delivery service.
- •This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights under Maltese and EU consumer protection law.
